Services & Solutions

Condition Assessments

Comprehensive assessments to establish the condition, material risks, and conservation needs of an object or collection. Each assessment is supported by careful examination, clear documentation, and practical recommendations tailored to the context of display, storage, loan, or acquisition.

Reports may be prepared for private collectors, museums, and institutions, including pre-purchase evaluations, insurance and damage reporting, and collection-wide surveys to support long-term planning and prioritisation.

Conservation Treatment

Specialist conservation treatment of modern and contemporary sculpture, objects, and mixed-media works, undertaken in accordance with the AIC and ICON Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice. Treatments are guided by material understanding, appropriate testing, and close attention to the aesthetic and conceptual integrity of each work.

Where appropriate, treatments are developed in consultation with conservation scientists, curators, and artist studios, ensuring that interventions are technically sound, ethically informed, and sustainable over time.

Collections Care

Preventive conservation support for collections, exhibitions, and storage environments. Services include environmental assessment, risk identification, materials guidance, handling and packing recommendations, and the development of practical strategies to improve long-term stability.

Collection care projects may range from targeted object rehousing and storage improvements to broader reviews of display and storage conditions for institutions seeking sustainable, proactive approaches to collection preservation.

Consultation & Teaching

Technical consultation and training for museums, institutions, artists, and collectors, drawing on extensive experience in contemporary materials and sculpture conservation. This may include advice on material identification, treatment planning, display and storage decisions, and long-term preservation challenges for complex works.

Teaching and training can be delivered through workshops, lectures, and tailored studio sessions, supporting both professional development and collection care capacity-building.
